Ultrasonic Testing
Advanced Non-Destructive (NDT) Ultrasonic Testing utilizes various forms of phased array technology where transducers emit ultrasonic waves at multiple angles and depths for different levels of inspection. The Full Matrix Capture-Total Focus Method (FMC/TFM) combines these algorithms to create detailed images of pipeline flaws. Phase Coherence Imaging uses these complex algorithms to develop clear, high-resolution images for capturing data about defects. ID Corrosion Mapping uses ultrasound to map any corrosion detected on the inner side of a pipeline. Finally, with incredible precision, an automated or semi-automated Weld Quality Assessment uses ultrasound to check weld integrity throughout a pipeline.
Thin Film Array Eddy Current Testing
Thin Film Array Eddy Current Testing utilizes an array of eddy current sensors to scan pipeline surfaces and produce high-resolution data on any defects or corrosion. Circle B NDE uses advanced Eddyfi Spyne and Sharck HR solutions from Eddyfi Technologies for their exceptional sensitivity and performance in detecting defects on surfaces and within pipeline materials.
Material Verification Services
Materials Verification Services use various processes to confirm the composition and quality of pipeline construction and maintenance materials. We evaluate their chemical composition, mechanical strength, and structural integrity. Circle B NDE uses Optical Emission Spectroscopy, Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy, X-ray Fluorescence Spectroscopy, and Instrumented Indentation Testing to verify that pipeline materials meet industry standards for safety and integrity.
Laser Profilometry with Creaform HandySCAN 3D
Laser Profilometry with Creaform HandySCAN 3D™ uses advanced lasers to capture high-res 3D images of pipeline surface geometries that detail defects and create precise measurements. Circle B NDE uses this form of laser testing for OD Corrosion Mapping and Assessment, which makes corrosion mapping of the outside pipeline diameter, and for Dent Mapping and Strain Calculation to assess deformations and other strains on pipeline surfaces.
